The multifactorial nature of Parkinson’s disease requires a broad range of capacities, from clinical assessment to analytical competences, encompassing both clinical and basic research. The partners supporting NCER-PD have required infrastructure and expertise to cover the key aspects of the planned research program:

  The Epidemiology and Statistics Platform is established by the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH). This platform will support NCER-PD by integrating its epidemiology and statistical expertise into the process of designing and creating a Luxembourgish cohort. The platform will also support the recruitment of control cohort participants, data collection and communication within the consortium.  
     
  The Clinical Platform is established by the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) together with other clinical facilities in Luxembourg. This platform will support NCER-PD with clinical expertise and facilities that enable broad recruitment and deep phenotyping of PD patients. The platform will support standardized, high quality clinical assessments, as well as sample and data collection. 
     
  The Biobanking Platform is established by the Integrated Biobank of Luxembourg (IBBL) with the support of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine of the University of Luxembourg. This platform will support NCER-PD with infrastructure and expertise for the sample collection, processing, analysis, storage and management; moreover, it will harmonize efforts with clinicians and data curators.
     
  The Data and Computation Platform is established by the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine of the University of Luxembourg with the support of the infrastructure provided by LIH and IBBL. It will provide NCER-PD with its competences and technology for the integration, curation and analysis of multidimensional data. To this end, the platform will establish secure and anonymized data ows among other NCER-PD platforms. Well-grounded machine learning and computational modeling approaches will enable data analysis and interpretation.
