Frank Michler, vice-chairman of the German patient organisation Jung und Parkinson, has interviewed the director of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) as part of the JUP Talk series, video Q&A sessions addressing different aspects of Parkinson’s disease with professionals from various fields and patients.
During the interview, Prof. Rudi Balling talks about the research being carried out at the LCSB, explains the importance of interactions with patients’ groups and emphasizes the need for international collaboration. He also answers some questions regarding Parkinson’s disease symptoms and treatments.
Jung und Parkinson provides information and assistance to Parkinson’s patients, especially young ones who face specific challenges as the disease interferes early on with their life. The aim of the association is to build a community that caters to the needs of those young patients.
