Paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings and prints by 28 Luxembourgish and international artists are on display at “Galerie l’Indépendance” at the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL) in Luxembourg City since last Saturday, 25 June. The exhibition “Art2Cure” was officially opened by the CEO of BIL, Hugues Delcourt, the President of the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Rainer Klump, and the Director of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB), Prof. Rudi Balling, during a preview for invited guests.
The artists’ works are available for purchase by visitors of the exhibition. A share of the proceeds will benefit Parkinson’s research at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicin of the University of Luxembourg. “After the resounding success of the first Art2Cure exhibition last year, when we collected around 30,000 euros, we are very proud of the increasing number of artists and works and are hoping for numerous visitors this year,” explained Rudi Balling.
The Art2Cure exhibition is open to the public until 2 September (Monday to Friday) from 8.00 to 18.00 the “Galerie l’Indépendance”, 69, route d’Esch, L-1470 Luxembourg.
Works of art by the following artists are on display and available for purchase: Jhemp Bastin, Fernand Bertemes, Sandra Biewers, Michel Bresson, Etienne Cail, Christian Frantzen, Danielle Grosbusch, Miikka Heinonen, Belen Irazola, Thomas Iser, Théid Johanns, Frank Jons, Philippe Lamesch, Sandra Lieners, Isabelle Lutz, François Nugues, Jo Peters Martine Pinnel, Roland Quetsch, Sergio Sardelli, Sarah Schleich, Stick, Sumo, Nico Thurm, ToiToi, Joachim van der Vlugt, Wouter van der Vlugt and Etienne Viard.
