Parkinson's Fighter: Frédéric

I have been with Agence eSanté for ten years, and my team and I support the implementation of the Dossier de Soins Partagé (DSP) - a patient’s secure electronic health record - within dedicated care networks such as the Plan Cancer and the Réseau de compétences maladies neurodégénératives – ParkinsonNet Luxembourg. We are in close contact with the ParkinsonNet team to understand their needs for a shared health information system and how the DSP can meet those needs.

In particular, the DSP provides invaluable support for people living with a chronic condition such as Parkinson's disease, who regularly see different healthcare providers. By centralising patient data, it streamlines the exchange of information between healthcare professionals, which is essential to optimise their day-to-day care, while also providing patients with a comprehensive overview of their care history and supporting their care organisation.

The DSP also provides data security, ensuring that shared information remains confidential and accessible only to trusted healthcare teams. In addition, the DSP facilitates the generation of performance indicators to help evaluate the effectiveness of ParkinsonNet and its contribution to providing the best possible care for people with Parkinson's disease. Finally, we can also provide high quality data to the Luxembourg research community, including NCER-PD, which was the driving force behind the creation of ParkinsonNet in the first place.

By integrating the DSP into ParkinsonNet, we are providing an important pillar to the network and helping to improve patient care. If you have not yet activated your DSP account, you can do so here!
